The function of the refrigeration compressor is to maintain the circulation of refrigerant in the refrigeration system, inhale low-temperature and low-pressure refrigerant vapor from the evaporator, compress the refrigerant vapor to increase its pressure and temperature, and send the refrigerant vapor to the condenser .

Compared with general-purpose compressors, they have the following special requirements in terms of structure and performance:

1. Strong cooling capacity, especially good low-speed performance is required to ensure that the car has sufficient cooling capacity at low speeds and at total speed.
2. Save power, especially when the car is driving at high speed, the power consumption cannot be too large, otherwise it will not only reduce the economy, but also affect the power of the car.
3. For cars and light vehicles, the compressor must be installed and fixed in the limited space of the engine compartment, so the volume and mass of the compressor are required to be small.
4. When the car is idling at high temperatures, the temperature of the compressor in the engine compartment can reach 120°C. The bumps and vibrations are also great when the car is driving, so the compressor is required to work normally under high temperatures and bumps.
5. The compressor is required to start and operate smoothly, with small vibration, low noise and reliable operation.
