Mannbay's battery thermal management solution
To effectively address battery thermal management challenges and cater to diverse client needs, Mannbay invested in research and development, overcoming a series of technical hurdles, creating the "Modular Independent Battery Thermal Management System" and "Top-mounted Shared Battery Thermal Management System".
1. The innovative aspects of the modular independent battery thermal management system and the challenges addressed are as follows:
1) Modular structural design: This system integrates cooling and heating modules within compact space dimensions and integrates side and rear intake air into one uniform installation and shape. By optimizing all product lines with different refrigeration capacities, intake methods, and heating modules, it standardizes two types of shapes and installation sizes, achieving a component generalization rate of over 80%.
2) The development of an integrated electronic control system: The battery thermal management system receives from the vehicle CAN bus the highest temperature of each battery cell (the maximum value of each cell) and the lowest temperature of each battery cell (the minimum temperature of each cell), then autonomously initiates, terminates, and adjusts operating conditions. It also feeds back various operating states, faults, water temperature, etc., to the vehicle CAN bus network. It adaptively controls frequency technology according to different operation modes (charging, discharging, etc.) to conserve energy and maintain constant battery temperature.
3) The development of a dedicated external debugging panel, featuring self-operation, pump operation, forced cooling, and stop mode options, which displays operating mode, outlet temperature, and fault code; it can perform debugging, fault diagnosis, and real-time monitoring of operating conditions.
4) Ease of maintenance: Through the optimized design of the control box, refrigerant interface, and inspection window, the current market issue of requiring full system removal for repairs is eliminated, significantly enhancing maintenance efficiency.
